The Lafayette Public Library Foundation exists to provide resources and to raise funds, awareness, and support to enhance the Lafayette Public Library System and strengthen our community connections.
To build awareness by connecting the community to library resources and promote equitable access to continually support literacy and lifelong learning throughout Lafayette Parish.
We believe in the power of literacy to transform lives. Our work is centered on the goal of encouraging lifelong learning, exploration, discovery, and equitable access to library resources.
Access: We believe in strengthening opportunities for every community member to access information, learning, and technology.

Education: We believe education is the cornerstone of success, and promote lifelong learning for all.
Community: We believe that building relationships between businesses, non-profit organizations and community members makes us all stakeholders in the common good.
Accountability: We believe in being responsible stewards and using Foundation resources in a trustworthy manner.
Innovation: We believe in empowering libraries as community hubs of technology and collaborative thinking.
